“Fall” in love with the UMFA and five exciting new exhibitions this season. The Ideal Landscape October 7, 2010 through January 9, 2011 This exhibition brings together thirteen Chinese landscape paintings dating from the Ming dynasty to the twentieth century. These artworks do not recreate a landscape, but instead conjure an ideal scene imagined by the painter.
