I admit that this week I can’t stop thinking about food – particularly turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes and pie. When I try to focus on art (and you know, my job), I end up thinking of this treasure in the UMFA’s collection. And then my mouth starts to water. September by Geoge Henry A. Hall is not currently on view, but if you are visiting the UMFA this week, look for another food-related still life in the European Galleries. Here is a hint: Lobster.
The UMFA will be closed on Thursday, November 25th for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
* Update: The UMFA will close at 2pm on Tuesday, November 23rd, due to severe weather conditions
