Learn about the Depression Era by viewing the critically acclaimed silent Charlie Chaplin film, Modern Times (1936). This film is not rated.

 

Speakeasy for U of U Students

Thursday, October 20, 8 to 10 pm, Free with your Ucard

Celebrate the roaring 20s and the dirty 30s at this student event. There will be music and dance performances, prizes for the best dressed, free food and fancy mocktails (it is the prohibition era, afterall!). This event is for University of Utah Students – All students must show their Ucard at the door.

 

LeConte Stewart Lecture: “Death, Loss, and the Artist”

Saturday, October 22, 1 pm, Free

Psychoanalyst and art historian Laurie Wilson will examine how traumatic events in early childhood are embodied in the work of many artists including LeConte Stewart. This event is sponsored by American Express.
