An outstanding achievement by the UMFA staff!
The results are in! As we leave the month of July and the Clear the Air Challenge winds down, the UMFA staff saved about the equivalent of a drive from Salt Lake City to Detroit! With Utah’s air quality being what it is, we are so happy to have been able to do our part to help.
Though the official challenge has ended, the UMFA’s commitment to sustainability won’t wane any time soon. I for one will continue to take public transit– my experience during this challenge helped to solidify what a pleasant experience it is to begin each morning with a walk to the train station, and to read or people watch instead of driving.
The UMFA isn’t through with the idea of conservation and sustainability, either: beginning September 13th, come in to check out our upcoming exhibition Exploring Sustainability, and get a glimpse into exciting ideas of sustainable design.
